It’s not as tough as it sounds if you live in the Palmetto State. There are so many great South Carolina locations where you can drive a short distance to get away from it all and just chill. Here are some great islands in South Carolina where you can make that happen. 1. Kiawah Island ocdan-course Yelp/Joe S The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island is currently ranked in the top 10 most difficult courses in the U.S. If golf isn't your cup of tea, don't worry. There are plenty of things to keep you occupied on Kiawah - or not... 2. Fripp Island Flickr/Frank DiBona This barrier island is known mostly as a resort so it's perfect for a getaway.
