From the Daufuskie Island Co-op
The annual DI Christmas Parade will be held on December 8th. Lineup at the Hargray Tower at 1:00 PM and parade start between 1:30 and 2:00 PM. BBQ to follow. As in past years Santa and Mrs Claus will be there. Donations are appreciated and checks can be made payable to Daufuskie Island Christmas Parade.

Christmas at The Billie Burn Gift Shop
Get in the holiday spirit by visiting the Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation’s Billie Burn Museum for gifts both unique and reasonably priced. New this year are “message in a bottle” kits, "Songs of the South" CDs, honey lip balm, and puppets for kids (including sharks and dolphins) - and a cute alligator bank! And don’t forget the Lowcountry books, note cards, puzzles, postcards and small Spartina449 items. The Museum is open Tuesday and Thursday – 12:30 to 3:30 and Wednesday and Friday – 12:30 to 4:00.

The Old Daufuskie Crab Company will be hosting a Christmas part on Sunday from 2:30 to 5:30 PM, featuring an oyster roast and much more. All are invited. Please note: There will be no boat service available on December 9th.

From the Daufuskie Island Community Farm
Several packets of Christmas Cards available from a recent farm fundraising effort - "Winter Sunset" (Governor's Point on Daufuskie), oil on canvas print donated by John Thompson to benefit the farm. 10 cards to a packet - $30. Interested call Eileen at 842-6770.
